Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation Malawi (BCM-CFM) is a not-for-profit organization partnering with the Government of Malawi in the health sector. 
The mission is to improve the health and lives of HIV-infected children and families through high quality, high impact, ethical, state-of-the-art, comprehensive care and treatment, training of health professionals, and clinical research. 
Baylor-Malawi has an international reputation for innovative, evidence-based HIV service delivery programming. 
The Baylor-Tingathe program was designed in 2008 to respond to suboptimal uptake of PMTCT and pediatric HIV services In Malawi. 
The program seeks to support Malawi in reaching the ambitious UNAIDS 90-90-90 goals, by improving the identification of HIV-positive persons, timely treatment initiation, and long term engagement in care. 
The program is funded by USAID, and is currently operating in 7 districts. 
The incumbent will be responsible for providing treatment , care and support to clients accessing HIV care with focus on 2 primary populations: 
1) Adolescents who attend differentiated care services such as teen clubs 
1) Clients needing intensified care clinic services including children, clients with viral load and new HIV diagnosis. 
1) Adolescent: 
√Provide comprehensive clinical care and group psychosocial support to adolescents during teen clubs, including timely assessment and interpretation of viral load and SRH services in collaboration with site level staff 
√Mentor site staff on provision of comprehensive clinical care and group pyschosocial support as above 
√Promote availability and access of youth friendly services in health facilities 
√Counsel adolescents and families on adherence, disclosure and any psychosocial needs 
√Liaise with SC/CC to ensure consistent identification of patients failing 1st line that need switching and follow clients through switch to 2nd line and follow - up viral load 
√Coordinate and support designate teen clubs in the assigned district 
√Conduct ongoing site level performance review related to adolescent services , including identification of performance and quality gaps/challenges, intervention to address them, and liaise with SC/CC to implement improvements and report on progress to district leadership. 
2) Intensified Care ART Clinic: 
√Support assigned ICAC Clinics by providing direct clinical care to clients and mentorship to MOH providers to improve quality of care provided 
√Work with site level staff (including MOH and Tingathe SS) to ensure ICAS clients are followed appropriately, receive all services, and missed appointments are traced 
√Counsel ICAS clients on adherence , disclosure and any other psycho-social needs 
√Liaise with team members to identify and address additional needs including clinicians, nurses and psycho-social counselors 
√Conduct ongoing site-level performance review to ICAS services, including identification of performance and quality gaps/challenges, interventions to address them, and liaise with SC/CC to implement improvements and report on progress to district leadership. 
√Diploma/Certificate Clinical Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, or Medical Assistant 
√Must be registered with relevant body 
√At least 3 years of experience providing direct clinical care to PLHIV 
√Experience working with adolescents, certified in YFHS or other youth support services will have an added advantage 
√Those with motor cycle riding certificate will have an added advantage 
√Team player, result oriented and self -starter. 
√Working days (Tuesday to Saturday).
